“Friend of a Friend” by Lake Malawi represented the Czech Republic at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest, held in Tel Aviv, Israel. The song competed in the first semi-final on May 14, 2019. Lake Malawi managed to qualify for the Grand Final on May 18th by ending in the 2nd place with 242 points.
In the Grand Final, they ended in the 11th place with a total of 157 points.

Lake Malawi was revealed to be competing in the Czech national selection, Eurovision Song CZ on January 7, 2019. The group later won the national selection on January 28, 2019, with 22 points.
