About
“Interlude – The Trio” is an instrumental interlude from Lana Del Rey’s eighth studio album, Blue Banisters.
The song name appeared for the first time on a now-deleted Instagram post from an insider and was then confirmed on September 08, 2021, by a tracklist posted on the Lana Del Rey official website. On the same day, Lana published the music video for the single “Arcadia”, placing the interlude as an outro to the video.
The interlude interpolates “Il triello” (English: “The Trio”), written by Italian composer Ennio Morricone for the soundtrack of the critically acclaimed epic movie The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Later into the song, Lana integrates thunderous trap beats, nodding to the hip-hop influence that features in her earlier albums, namely Born to Die and Lust For Life.
