BATTY BOY Lyrics

Lyrics from Performance

[Verse]
Batty boy, you been on my mind
I see you in my dreams (All up up in my dreams)
I think about you all the time, I'm trying to make you scream (Ayo, ayo)
Batty boy, not a day goes by, without you in my dreams (All up, up in my dreams)
I think about you all the time, I'm trying to make you holla, holla, holla

[Chorus]
I don't wanna love nobody (Nobody)
I just wanna love your body (Your body)
Take me to your best friend's place
Maybe we can make mistakes
I don't wanna fuss and fight (And fight)
I just wanna ask, can you be mine for the rest of the night?
Mine for the rest of the night

[Outro]
No hay nadie más
Una noche más
Finalmente más
Yeah

Genius Annotation

“Batty Boy” is an unreleased song from Lil Nas X that Interpolates Beyoncé’s Baby Boy. The demo version known as Red Light Green Light was originally intended for his debut album MONTERO. However, this version has since been reworked into his unreleased song “Batty Boy” which was first teased during his appearance at Lollapalooza in Chile.

On May 25, 2020, he posted a photo of traffic lights on Instagram, hinting that it was supposedly the song and the forth track of the original MONTERO tracklist (Which was confirmed to be true). During this time, Lil Nas X had never posted any snippets of the song, therefore making it unheard.

On July 27, 2021, the demo version, which was untitled but named “Red Light Green Light” by his fans, leaked in its entirety.

On March 17, 2023, Lil Nas X performed an updated snippet of the reworked version of the song in his Lollapalooza performance in Chile and continued to perform it for the rest of his appearances at various concerts across the world.

On March 24, 2023, Lil Nas X performed Batty Boy with Pabllo Vittar leading to speculations of them featuring on the song.

On May 11, 2023, the demo of the song leaked in its entirety.
