Time Machine Lyrics
I built a time machine for you
But you always die, no matter what I do
Every time I go back, I always seem to fail
And the Angel of Death always prevails
[Chorus]
I see your face everywhere I go
I watch your blood melt through the snow
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
And on, and on, and on, and on, and on
[Verse]
I built a time machine for you
But you always die, no matter what I do
Every time I go back, I always seem to fail
And the Angel of Death always prevails
[Chorus]
I see your face everywhere I go
I watch your blood melt through the snow
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
And on, and on, and on, and on, and on
[Bridge]
I've seen you die a thousand times
The moment it happens is burned in my mind
But I know I'm gonna save you this time
I'll meet you in the clouds if I don't this time
I see your face everywhere I go
I watch your blood melt through the snow
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
And on, and on, and on, and on, and on
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
And on, and on, and on, and on, and on
About
“Time Machine” is Logics 3rd song on his album “Supermarket” which coincides with his new novel, Supermarket.
Time Machine, along with another handful of songs on this album, are about a girl.
As many know, a time machine as seen in cartoons and movies allow one to travel into the past or future. In this sense, Logic wishes he could go back in time.
“I see your face everywhere I go, I watch your blood melt through the snow” is part of Logics chorus on this song. Logic is most likely singing about a missed opportunity with a girl, rather then a actual death.
Throughout the song, Logic repeats saying, “Every time I go back, I always seem to fail”. This line could add the the point of his “missed opportunities” since he states he always seems to fail.

In an interview with HardknockTV, he explains:
I actually referenced in the book H.G Well’s Time Machine…long story short it’s about this inventor who’s working on a time machine. He’s going to ask this woman to be his wife. She dies. He doesn’t go crazy, but he like finishes the time machine, and goes back in time to save her, but she dies again, and then he goes back again, and it’s just fate. He can’t save her. So to me that’s what the song is about.
