All my friends know Lyrics

[Verse 1]
Did you ever want me? No worries if not
It's just that I told my mum, she thinks we're still going strong
She knows that I'm so fond of you that she can't ignore
How every day she knocks, but I don't answer my door
Every time I look outside my house, I try to make myself believe
(I can look at nature and feel good again)
You just call and text to say, "I want to talk," but I'm too scared to meet
(Is that why you think the worst of me?)

[Chorus]
Say we'll make up
Why'd you say that?
Why'd you break her?
('Cause I never got to teach myself at all)
How to not show myself let go?
All my friends know
That you think the worst of me

[Verse 2]
Even though you broke my heart
Now we're living worlds apart
Now I've blocked you since I'm smart
(Never got to teach myself at all)
Now that all that's done and said
I see all the time I spent
Not talking to my best friend
'Cause I thought the worst of me

Genius Annotation

Over a poppy beat, “All my friends know”, the 8th track off her debut album to hell with it, has PinkPantheress reminiscing about an ex-partner, questioning if she was ever worth their time.

Genius Answer

I wanted to try something a bit different, and there were a few moments with this one where I wasn’t sure if I really liked it or not. After I stopped debating with myself it got a lot easier to enjoy it and I ended up feeling like it could actually be a lot of people’s favourite. The instrumental part of it is really beautiful; both producers—my friends Dill and Kairos—did a good job. It’s sentimental in a musical sense, and it’s sentimental in a personal sense as well.
