With the usual tradition of releasing a snippet, this time for nearly 8 months, TikTok start-up PinkPantheress released “Picture in my mind” with surprise feature Sam Gellaitry. The track discusses the original perception of a lover, and the emotions that split them apart when faced with reality.
Despite Sam’s involvement being unknown to the public until release, Sam originally produced and vocally structured the track before being given to Pantheress. This is shown through the demo version released as a bonus on Sam’s “VF VOL II”, showcasing the track without Pantheress' vocals a couple of months later.
The track is currently one of Sam’s biggest hits, showing that PinkPantheress' involvement in the electronic scene is one to be appreciated.
