PRETTYMUCH’s “Solita” was first performed on soundcheck for the Toronto show whilst opening for Khalid on his Roxy Tour. The song is a mix of English and Spanish, with “solita” translating to the feminine version of “alone.”
The first snippet of the song was posted on Twitter from the show. The boys of PRETTYMUCH confirmed Rich the Kid’s feature and the release date of the song as September 28, 2018 via Twitter a week before it was due to drop.
The boys also played the studio version of the song while they handed out free ice cream to the fans in three locations around Los Angeles, on June 21st, to celebrate the release of their single “Summer on You”.

Band member Brandon Arreaga commented in an interview:
I remember the day “I Like It” came out and we got done with “Solita” maybe a month prior and we were just hyped because we knew it was going to be so fresh and then “I Like It” came out and we were like “nooo” but it was all good since the song did well since the hype was around it. It’s just funny because I remember when Edwin sent the link in our group chat.
