“Franklin, Do...” Lyrics

[Verse 1]
She had a bee in her bonnet
She had a tango in her hair
And she moved around the cafe
Like the descendant of Fred Astaire
Then she felt his eyes trying to hide
Some kind of love disaster and
"Franklin, throw another donut on the elevator"

[Verse 2]
Though she wanted to be famous
She felt so secure in her uniform
And as Franklin orbited her planet
She smelled likе patchouli and peppercorn
But he was on to hеr disguise, trying to hide
Some kind of love disaster and
"Franklin, throw another donut on the elevator"
"Throw another donut on the elevator"

[Chorus]
'Cause I'm sorry we slept together
I'm working on myself
I'm working on my mental health
Franklin, do
Do you ever feel seen
When someone treats you mean?
When someone treats you really mean?
[Verse 3]
Didn't expect you to be so honest
I can take Wednesdays if you take Thursday nights
And as he wiped the counters clean
He didn't notice it didn't sit right
Sheila finally felt the weight of time
The weight of love's disaster and
Threw a donut at Franklin and said, "See you later"
"Throw another donut on the elevator"

[Chorus]
'Cause I'm sorry we slept together
I'm working on myself
I'm working on my mental health
Franklin, do
Do you ever feel seen
When someone treats you mean?
When someone treats you really mean?

[Outro]
She had a bee in her bonnet
She had a tango in her hair
And she walked herself back home
Like nothing happened and she didn't care

What did Ruby Rose Fox say about ""Franklin, Do...""?
Genius Answer

Couldn’t be more excited to share this collaboration with Colin Sipos. Yes, there will be some dark, brooding music to come, but after the pandemic, I really just want to give you all something to tap your foot to.

This is from a pop-fiction series of songs of interweaving characters. I wanted to capture the awkwardness of youth in service jobs and those uneventful days where you walk home smelling of food or coffee while harboring some awkward or uncomfortable moment.
