“Queendom” shows Red Velvet’s true colorful personalities, as this is the title track off their sixth mini album of the same name
Welcoming the listener into a soft electronic-pop track, the quintet gives off positive energy with the message that we are all queens and kings in our lives, and that we shine more beautifully when we are together.
The song also marked the group’s official comeback altogether after their one-and-a-half-year hiatus, during which its members released multiple musical projects, including Irene & Seulgi’s 2020 mini album Monster, Wendy’s April 2021 extended play Like Water and Joy’s special album, 안녕 (Hello).
Known as one of Red Velvet’s most remarkable pieces of work, the track received however mixed feelings. It serves as one of their best performing singles on the Billboard Global 200 chart, and it additionally gave them seven Korean music show wins.
