“slow it down”, the ninth track to Roddy’s second studio album LIVE LIFE FAST, marking it as the middle of the album.
It features common collaborator and fellow Los Angeles artist Ty Dolla $ign and R&B singer Alex Isley who provide backup vocals and adlibs. Segueing Jamie Foxx’s outro monologue on “no way” one track prior, with the tracks short runtime being only 55 seconds, it plays as an interlude which transitions into the second phase of the album – “slowing down”. From this point the following songs start to inherit and calmer tone as as Roddy tries to enjoy life more and live it slow.
