stripclub music Lyrics

[Verse 1]
Good grades, straight A's and pleased her mother
Daddy worked two jobs that both went under
She found a job that paid and stayed the summer
Nice meals, high heels in every color

[Pre-Chorus]
And they don't have to approve, she makes money from dudes
Who throw dollars and holler while sipping on booze
Now she's in control when she's on the pole
Makes a man understand why he's sitting below

[Chorus]
So go ahead and dance, oh yeah
So go ahead and dance, oh yeah
So go ahead and dance
'Cause a dollar is a dollar
And your wallet never looked so good
So go ahead and dance
Go ahead and dance

[Verse 2]
Her body's camouflaged in glitter, yeah
Grown men will watch while eating dinner
And old folks from home say she's a sinner
But, if God saw her dance then He'd forgive her
[Pre-Chorus]
And they don't have to approve, she makes money from dudes
Who throw dollars and holler while sipping on booze
Now she's in control when she's on the pole
Makes a man understand why he's sitting below

[Chorus]
So go ahead and dance, oh yeah
So go ahead and dance, oh yeah
So go ahead and dance
'Cause a dollar is a dollar
And your wallet never looked so good
So go ahead and dance
Go ahead and dance

[Outro]
So go ahead and dance
'Cause a dollar is a dollar
And your wallet never looked so good
So go ahead and dance
Go ahead and dance

Genius Annotation

After pointing out that he’s never been to a strip club, ROLE MODEL told DIY Magazine that he “wanted to write a song about the beauty of the dynamic of them; of these women literally above men, just taking their money and spinning in this beautiful visual.”

What did ROLE MODEL say about "stripclub music"?
Genius Answer

I have never been to a strip club, but I have always thought that the dynamic inside a strip club is so cool. It’s beautiful to have these men down low on the ground, and these women almost hypnotising these men and literally taking their money, spinning above them. It’s so metaphorical and cool to me. I started trying to make a version of this song back in 2018, I think. There were probably four or five versions of the song that were cool, but not quite what I wanted. And once we had started this album, I brought the concept back up. Obviously, it’s made up, but I wanted to tell this story of a stripper and why I think it’s the coolest thing ever to me. It fits into the theme of the album: of a woman and this higher power.
