Unfold You Lyrics

[Verse]
Spent the day in bed
Running through my head
Coming up the stairs
I hear your footsteps

Coming up the floor
Turn up at the door
I can see you smiling
Underneath that jacket and

[Pre-Chorus]
I’ll unfold you
Whenever you want to
I’ll hold you

[Chorus]
Might be taking a risk
But I’m okay with it
Might be taking a risk
But I’m okay with it
Might be taking a risk
But I’m okay with it
I’m okay with it

[Verse]
Staying at your place
Underneath the bridge
Laying down to sleep
Don’t know what time it is
Wake up in the snow
We can smell its cold
Keep you like a 20 that i don’t let go of and

[Pre-Chorus]
I’ll unfold you
Whenever you want to
I’ll hold you

[Chorus]
Might be taking a risk
But I’m okay with it
Might be taking a risk
But I’m okay with it
Might be taking a risk
But I’m okay with it
I’m okay with it

[Instrumental solo]

[Pre-Chorus]
I’ll unfold you
Whenever you want to
I’ll hold you

[Chorus]
Might be taking a risk
But I’m okay with it

Genius Answer

This features a sample from Nick Hakim [2015’s ‘Papas Fritas’] and features Henry Solomon’s sax playing which I later brought into HAIM’s ‘Summer Girl’. Even though ‘Summer Girl’ came out within a few months of us starting to record it, ‘Unfold You’ took years. In some ways it had to—because the recording of the song tracks an evolution and a personal change.
