Hungry Heart Lyrics

[Verse 1]
Knew that we're gonna be friends in the morning
After we stayed up till six in the morning
I knew what I wanted, yeah
It was you that I wanted
You, you make me feel like I’m finally okay
All of the colors ain't wrong when you hold me
Running together
We're better together (Ooh)

[Pre-Chorus]
Daylight to the moonlight to the sunrise to the water
Dark nights and the hard times only make me want you more
Want you more

[Chorus]
Yeah, you always leave me with a hungry heart
’Cause all I think about is, think about is you
Every time you leave, I always fall apart
'Cause all I think about is, think about is you, ooh
Got me swimming in your blue eyes (Eyes, eyes)
You got me wishing just for one night
Yeah, I got a hungry heart, hungry heart (Heart, heart, heart)
Ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh

[Drop]
Yeah, I got a hungry heart (Woo, woo)
Hey, hungry
Yeah, I got a hungry heart, a hungry heart (Heart, heart, heart)
[Verse 2]
No, I make everything so complicated
I put it on you, I don't know how to take it
Whenever I'm with you, yeah
I already miss you

[Pre-Chorus]
Daylight to the moonlight to the sunrise to the water
Dark nights and the hard times only make me want you more
Want you more

[Chorus]
Yeah, you always leave me with a hungry heart
'Cause all I think about is, think about is you
Every time you leave, I always fall apart
'Cause all I think about is, think about is you, ooh
Got me swimming in your blue eyes (Eyes, eyes)
You got me wishing just for one night
Yeah, I got a hungry heart, hungry heart (Heart, heart, heart)
Ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh

[Drop]
Yeah, I got a hungry heart (Woo, woo)
Hey, hungry (Woo, woo)
Yeah, I got a hungry heart, a hungry heart (Heart, heart, heart)
You, ooh
[Outro]
Swimming in your blue eyes (Yeah, I got a hungry heart)
Wishing just for one night (Heart, heart, heart)
Yeah, I got a hungry heart (Yeah, I got a hungry heart)
Heart, heart, heart, heart (Woo, woo)
Yeah, I got a hungry heart, a hungry heart

What did Steve Aoki, Galantis & Hayley Kiyoko say about "Hungry Heart"?
Genius Answer

Steve Aoki:

Hungry Heart is a song that captures the desire to be a part of something bigger than ourselves. We all share that hunger inside. For me, that hunger is creating community and bringing people together. I loved collaborating with Galantis and Hayley because they both give so much energy to the track and its message. This is the kind of song that lights a fire in your soul.

Christian Karlsson:

I’m so happy to finally be releasing this song with Steve after so many years of us wanting to collaborate. Hayley is such an amazing songwriter and artist, and when she and Steve came with the idea of a collaboration I knew it was a slam dunk. The tune has taken many turns and I’ve really enjoyed the process of how it’s developed. I’m very proud of the result and excited for everyone to hear it!

Hayley Kiyoko:

It’s been a dream come true to collaborate with Steve Aoki and Galantis on ‘Hungry Heart!’ I co-wrote this song with Sean Douglas and Joe Janiak about being consumed by an instant romantic connection you can have with someone. The music video was so much fun to direct and create. It’s meant to take you on that rapturous ride you feel at the first undeniable spark of passion. I’m so excited to finally share this song with our fans!
