About
Sirens is a song me and Stephen made quite a while ago in August 2017. Originally, we just had the synth beat and some different drums. It wasn’t for a couple of weeks after he had initially made the beat that Stephen added the Siren sample. We were going through the LlamaFluff YouTube videos and thought it would be a great idea.
The siren sample changed so much, there’s a bunch of EQ on it to make it sound better, and at one point was just the siren going throughout the track whereas in the final version of the song it jumps around a lot throughout, especially in the hook where it synchronises with the lyrics.
The lyrics also faced multiple changes, probably more than any of the “old school” songs on the album. Barcelona wasn’t changed from June 2017 just before filming the music video, and Threat is mostly the same but with some different lines due to old ones being super bad.
As I annotated on the hook of the song, we changed the hook so many times, and the lyrics are completely different to what they were in August. The first two lines were actually just something I had tweeted out and later decided to add in since they fit.

The sample from the first hook onwards in Sirens is from my label, LlamaFluff’s video
They are the Broadmoor Hospital sirens, which as of July 2018, have been permanently decommissioned in favour of newer electric sirens as the old 13 sirens were ageing and from the 50’s, so were hard to maintain.
