Intro (MTV Unplugged) [Live] Lyrics

[Announcer]
Please welcome twenty one pilots

[Tyler Joseph]
Hello, we're twenty one pilots and welcome to our "MTV Unplugged"
Now, as you can see, up here, we're very plugged
Um, but to me, this series has become less about performing your songs acoustically
And more about a band and/or an artist presenting themselves in a different way than they traditionally would
Usually when Josh and I perform, we play with pre-recorded tracks
But tonight, what wе're gonna do
Is we're gonna build out thosе tracks in real time in front of you
And using hands-free looping and some sampling
Hopefully, if we play everything right and in time
We'll end up with brand-new versions of our songs
There might be a few awkward transitions between songs
Because we have a lot to kind of, like, preset
So just embrace the awkwardness, I guess

How to Format Lyrics:

  • Type out all lyrics, even repeating song parts like the chorus
  • Lyrics should be broken down into individual lines
  • Use section headers above different song parts like [Verse], [Chorus], etc.
  • Use italics (<i>lyric</i>) and bold (<b>lyric</b>) to distinguish between different vocalists in the same song part
  • If you don’t understand a lyric, use [?]

Genius Answer

While most MTV Unplugged albums and EPs cut out sections of their performances, some have been known to keep some of the spoken word parts before, between and after songs. twenty one pilots' is confirmed to include at least a portion of their introduction.

Its earliest confirmation comes from a listing in PPL’s database. Most of the release years show 2022 since that is when the album was originally planned to be released.

Reasons for its delay are currently unknown, though speculation leads to the failure of obtaining release rights for their cover performance of M.I.A.’s “Bad Girls,” which was cut from prerecorded livestream. Additionally, images and screenshots from its leaked product listing for an exclusive vinyl release confirmed both the inclusion of an introduction and the omission of “Bad Girls.”

At the time, it was unknown as to how much of the introduction would be released via music streaming services and the aforementioned vinyl. Once a pre-save link for its Apple Music listing was shared, a distinctly shorter runtime than the one used for the livestream guaranteed a cut-down version for audio streaming.
