Killer Queen
Killer Queen Lyrics
Tell me watchu thinking
Say something that'll ease my mind
I know you want me/
So why we gotta worry
We’ll let the whole world know in time
Its but tradition/
So why we gotta listen?
I dont need nobody to cry
Its only harder/
When its so easy to love you/
Id rather treat you instead in style
(bridge)
Swear I'm not tryn to be cunning
But we don't gotta spend all that money
We don’t gotta ask for permission/
We can get hooked right this instant. HEY
(verse 2)
I know, I know, that you want that spotlight
I'll give it to you. so just please hang on tight
Im not in the mood, to be in room, full people/
Barely conversatin,jus doin whats civil
Got errbody lookin dashin/
Low key competing like the grammys
I hate small talks, and my fam talk big/
For every loved one comes one who's toxic
...issa warzone, we in the frontlines/
You say isall gon be just fine
Can we put our worries to the test?/
I'm way too nervous bout this, I confess
But I promise we gon make it happen/
Regardless, I'll wear warm boots in the Garden
Its bout to be ya biggest day ever/
I sound like Chance, but it feel way better
You're the one for mee
Ill do whatever to make you happy
For my killer queen
About
“ This is my first actual love song. It’s to my fiancee. I never do love songs especially about her because I always just thought the approach was cheesy.
… In this song, I talk about our difficulties of us getting wedded. I never fully believed in the tradition nor really dreamt it as much as she does, especially being around a lot of divorces including both ours. The complications for this one day, and my anxiety of being around relatives I’m barely close with.
.. But by the 2nd verse I talk about how I do want to do it, because she deserves it. And I will make it the best day not just her for enjoy it myself to the max. The big day will happen, I just don’t know when. But regardless, I know our love will grow stronger.
Wrote this btw knowing our anniverysary is in the horizons."
