This song was found by accident! NegroSaki is an unorthodox producer, who sometimes releases music using unorthodox methods. One such way is through his “Hidden Scrolls,” which are found in some of the various places where NegroSaki has a presence. This particular instrumental was found on NegroSaki’s tumblr, an account which Tarod RaShon follows. Upon it’s discovery, Tarod RaShon immediately developed the idea and concept that would later be amplified with the help of local artist and fitness buff B-Sav.

Taking a bit of a turn away from the explicitly sexual nature of the source material, “Never Let Go” explores a side of intimacy that most rappers and singers have failed to accurately depict as music continues moving forward. It’s smooth, sultry, and straight to the point with its message–proving that there’s a handful of lyricists out here that haven’t forgotten what true expressions of love and loyalty look like.
