“Heather (Spotify Singles),” also known as “Heather (the bedroom sessions),” is a cover of Conan Gray’s 2020 smash hit, “Heather.”
The song was announced and released on November 11, 2020 exclusively on Spotify. The song was released along with an acoustic version of Tate’s own song, “you broke me first” and the two songs formed the Spotify-exclusive mini-EP, “Spotify Singles.” Over a month later on December 25, 2020, Tate posted both songs on her YouTube channel under the name “the bedroom sessions” as a Christmas present to her fans.
Many artists including Noah Cyrus, GIVĒON, The Kid LAROI, and many more, have each made their own version of “Spotify Singles,” most of the time consisting of an acoustic version of one of their songs, and a cover of someone else’s song.
