In My Head Lyrics

[Verse 1: Juice WRLD]
Sometimes life brings me to my knees
Drowns me in my misery
Cuts me deep, makes me bleed
I'm ten feet at the cemetery
Maybe it's all in my head, yeah
Maybe I just need rest, yeah
Lately I've been stressed, tryna impress
The whole world
I'm lost in a cold world

[Chorus: Andrew Taggart]
'Cause every night
I convince myself it's all in my head
Maybe none of this is real life
Or maybe I'm just not feeling it yet
So every time
I hear the voices scream inside of my head
I let 'em know if this is real life
We're on our own, so we better be friends

[Post-Chorus: Juice WRLD]
Oh, ah, ah
Oh, ah, ah

[Verse 2: Juice WRLD]
Will I see better days? I don't know
Bet you've never seen a frown like this before
I was told to always look at things a little different
See my demons through kaleidoscopes
Here goes some advice I found
Say it with me, scream it loud
Don't let nothing bring you down
And down, and down
[Chorus: Andrew Taggart]
'Cause every night
I convince myself it's all in my head
Maybe none of this is real life
Or maybe I'm just not feeling it yet
So every time
I hear the voices scream inside of my head
I let 'em know if this is real life
We're on our own, so we better be friends

[Post-Chorus Juice WRLD]
Oh, ah, ah
Oh, ah, ah
Oh, ah, ah
Oh, ah, ah

[Chorus: Andrew Taggart]
‘Cause every night
I convince myself it’s all in my head
Maybe none of this is real life
Or maybe I’m just not feeling it yet
So every time
I hear the voices scream inside of my head
I let ‘em know if this is real life
We’re on our own, so we better be friends
[Post-Chorus: Juice WRLD]
Oh, ah, ah
Oh, ah, ah
Oh, ah, ah
Oh, ah, ah

Genius Annotation

“In My Head” is an unreleased collaboration between American EDM-Pop duo The Chainsmokers and singer-songwriter-rapper Juice WRLD. It was leaked along with 35 other songs from the Illinois rapper, recently famous for his hit “Lucid Dreams” which is off his third mix tape JuiceWRLD 9 9 9 and his debut studio album Goodbye & Good Riddance.

Billboard confirmed that the song is a legitimate collaboration between the two artists. It is unknown when the track will come out.

Propelled mainly by The Chainsmokers' trademark electronic piano-synth chords and Andrew Taggart’s vocals on the hook, “In My Head” continues The Chainsmokers' recent exploration of a darker and more personal theme in their songs, as showcased in the four tracks on the Sick Boy – EP, which was released on April 20, 2018. Sharing a theme recurrent in Juice WRLD’s music, he was an apt addition to this track given The Chainsmokers' recent transition to a more brooding and introspective style of their trademark dance-pop sound.
