Let Forever Be Lyrics

[Instrumental Intro]

[Verse 1]
And how does it feel like
To wake up in the sun?
And how does it feel like
To shine on everyone?
And how does it feel like
To let forever be?
And how does it feel like
To spend a little lifetime sitting in the gutter?

[Refrain]
Scream a symphony

[Verse 2]
How does it feel like
To sail in on the breeze?
And how does it feel like
To spend a little lifetime sitting in the gutter?

[Refrain]
Scream a symphony

[Verse 3]
And how does it feel like
To make it happening?
And how does it feel like
To breathe with everything?
And how does it feel like
To let forever be?
And how does it feel like
To spend a little lifetime sitting in the gutter?
[Refrain]
Scream a symphony

[Verse 4]
And how does it feel like
To be a crystalline?
And how does it feel like
To spend a little lifetime sitting in the gutter?

[Refrain]
Scream a symphony

Genius Annotation

“Let Forever Be” is the second single on the album Surrender made by The Chemical Brothers and sung by Oasis songwriter Noel Gallagher.

The band had previously allowed Gallagher to do vocals on a track the Chemical Brothers had also made named “Setting Sun”, which was released in 1997. Around two years later, Gallagher was given a cassette by Chemical Brothers member Tom Rowlands which contained the song “Let Forever Be” as an instrumental. With the cassette, Rowlands had asked if Gallagher could sing on the track. Although Gallagher did end up doing vocals on it, he thought that the song was better off as an instrumental.
