Junkies Monkeys & Donkeys Lyrics
[Verse 1]
Now the evening sun is goin' down
Black shadows coverin' dusty ground
But I never thought I'd be the kind of man
But I know that I am
[Refrain]
But I never thought I'd be a junkie
Fixin' up holes and shootin' my time away
[Verse 2]
Early morning sun leaves me behind
Shatters my body, burns my mind
But I never thought I'd be the kind of man
But I know that I am
[Refrain]
But I never thought I'd be a monkey
Climbin' up trees and lost in a cannibal isle
[Guitar Solo ; 1:59-5:37]
[Verse 3]
If I should wake up in some other place
White heap starin' in my lonely face
But I never thought I'd be the kind of man
To be caught inside a jam
Now the evening sun is goin' down
Black shadows coverin' dusty ground
But I never thought I'd be the kind of man
But I know that I am
[Refrain]
But I never thought I'd be a junkie
Fixin' up holes and shootin' my time away
[Verse 2]
Early morning sun leaves me behind
Shatters my body, burns my mind
But I never thought I'd be the kind of man
But I know that I am
[Refrain]
But I never thought I'd be a monkey
Climbin' up trees and lost in a cannibal isle
[Guitar Solo ; 1:59-5:37]
[Verse 3]
If I should wake up in some other place
White heap starin' in my lonely face
But I never thought I'd be the kind of man
To be caught inside a jam
[Refrain]
But I never thought I'd be a donkey
Pullin' a weight that's driving me to the ground
[Outro]
Yeah-yeah, yeah-yeah
Help me, babe
But I never thought I'd be the kind of man
But I never thought I'd be a junkie, babe
But I never thought I'd be a monkey
But I never thought I'd be, I'd be a donkey, yeah
Uh, oh
That's right
But I never thought I'd be a donkey
Pullin' a weight that's driving me to the ground
[Outro]
Yeah-yeah, yeah-yeah
Help me, babe
But I never thought I'd be the kind of man
But I never thought I'd be a junkie, babe
But I never thought I'd be a monkey
But I never thought I'd be, I'd be a donkey, yeah
Uh, oh
That's right
