“Fallen Star” was teased via snippets posted on the band member’s social media accounts throughout 2020, and was expected to appear on their 4th studio album. When Chip Chrome & the Mono-Tones finally dropped in September of 2020, fans were disappointed to see that “Fallen Star” didn’t make the cut. Fans speculated that the song would be featured on a deluxe edition of the album, but when Chip Chrome & the Mono-Tones (Deluxe) dropped in December, the track was absent once again.
At long last, the highly anticipated “Fallen Star” finally materialized as a single on October 1st, 2021.
The track could be viewed as a continuation of “Reflections,” a song from their 2018 Hard to Imagine The Neighbourhood Ever Changing project, as the tracks share distinctly similar themes.
