Hassan Chop Lyrics

[Intro]
Hassan Chop

[Verse 1]
Shit hits the fan when Apache meets the blade
Caliphate destruction, it's a war that must be waged
Heads are gonna roll when the tire treads stop
"These crimes, they will be paid for", said Hassan Chop

[Chorus 1]
Killing so others will be saved
The real God, he favours us today
The suffering is never gonna stop
As long as the breath of Hassan Chop

[Verse 2]
Swords gleam in the desert, the snipers are in line
Corsairs in the crosshairs, they gladly give their lives
Innocents are scattered like Bedouin in the sand
In this fight for God in a godforsaken land

[Chorus 2]
We kill so others will behave
We'll lead this modern day crusade
"Deliverance" is never going away
As long as the will of the USA
[Guitar Solo]

[Refrain]
Caliphate destruction is a war that must be waged
Caliphate destruction is a war that must be waged

[Pre-Chorus 1]
Possession of the sword, well, it passes down the line
From dictator to liberator to freedom fighter fine
The game is always changing, the result is still the same
Because our God is righteous and yours the one to blame

[Chorus 3]
Killing so others will be saved
The real God, he favors us today
The suffering, will it ever stop?
As long as the breath of Hassan Chop

Genius Answer

Someone once told me, ‘I used to think your music was happy until I read your lyrics,’ but I think that’s part of the formula. I wanted to write a song about what was going on in the Middle East, and ISIS in particular, just how brutal it’s gotten over there. It’s beheadings. When I thought of the beheading thing, I thought, oh, that reminds me of that old Bugs Bunny cartoon [‘Ali Baba Bunny’] where the guy runs around saying “Hassan chop”, and so I decided to call the song that. No one knows what it is except for 50-year-old guys, but it was a great cartoon. [The song is about] how terrible it is over there, and not to point fingers, but to call it what it really is: a continuation of the Crusades. I mean, Jesus, it’s the same stuff that’s been going on for a couple thousand years: ‘My God is right and your God sucks, and now I’m going to kill you for it.’
