“Not The News is the sixth track on Thom Yorke’s third solo album, "Anima”. It was debuted in Japan in August of 2015, and in the time between its debut and release, it underwent much workshopping live.

On 6/15/19, posters for a company called “Anima Technologies” began appearing around the world, including a number to call. When called, the melody from “Not the News” would play after a short message. This was the first major hint at a new Thom LP.

The song was released, along with Dawn Chorus and Traffic from the same album, on a 3-track vinyl that was given after the première of the Anima one-reeler on 22nd June 2019.
