Hi-Fi Television Lyrics
I drip with fascination
It's constant aggravation
A lack of motivation
It's all de-evolution
[Chorus]
These are my insides turn them out
[Verse 2]
I drink their milky water
I taste their penicillin
I breathe their purple fog in
I read their sex and weapons
[Chorus]
These are my insides turn them out
[Verse 3]
It's Hi-Fi television
Gimme gimme gimme bad vibrations
I drip with fascination
It's constant aggravation
[Chorus]
These are my insides turn them out
It's distant thought migration
Assimilation in a stranger Nation
A lack of motivation
It's all de-evolution
[Chorus]
These are my insides turn them out
About
“Hi-Fi Television” is the first single released for the Non Stop Paranoia EP. It blends their classic garage punk style with ‘80’s aesthetics. It’s also more politically minded then their previous work, saying this was due to living under President Trump
Together Pangea spoke about the track’s creation to CoS crediting episodes of panic attacks, shouting matches, and the infamous Alex Jones. The lyrics of the track reflect “anxiety and paranoia in the age of misinformation,” according to vocalist/guitarist William Keegan.
They also credit Jack White on “Danger! High Voltage” by Electric Six.
He sounds super crazed and manic, that always just kind of stuck with me. I tried pretty hard to sound like he does in this song. I felt like that style totally fit with the lyrics in our song. It also just kind of suits the crazy atmosphere of the current times.
