These are of course the lyrics to the Temptations' “My Girl”, not the Techniques' version (1968), which begins “My girl is a good girl / My girl is a play girl / She’s been good to me, Lord / and it has been so long …”, much less U-Roy’s “toasting” over the Techniques version, which is mainly limited to declaring “I gonna give you a whipping”, “and you’ll get a whipping” over and over. I can’t be bothered to spend my time transcribing the whole rant.
