This track reintroduces the Matriarch, the Immortal’s villainous former mistress. In the story of the last album, Apex, she directed him to gather her four sons so that she could sacrifice them in a ritual that would grant her everlasting life. So he did, with a heavy heart.

Now, the Matriarch is enraged and intent on destroying her Grandson for stealing her greatest weapon, the Immortal, from her. But she doesn’t yet realise that the Immortal is awake and ready to face her.

Her first move is to send her “soulbound” undead offspring to pursue the Grandson and the Immortal through space.
