“Friend Like Me” is the fifth song in the 2019 live action remake soundtrack, but is actually the third song to be sung in the movie (not counting the One Jump Ahead reprise).
Aladdin (Mena Massoud) is confused about the genie’s (Will Smith) purpose, so the genie happily obliges to sing this song teaching him how to use him and the lamp.
