“ice cream man” was an unreleased song that YUNGBLUD, or Dom, performed back in January 2019. He kept it on the setlist throughout a few tours and would occasionally perform the song on stage. On 13 March 2020, he seemingly started to tease the release of the song with three ice cream emojis on his Instagram story, but a month later, he instead revealed “Weird!” and the song went back to being in the background. It was then confirmed to be finished and on the album by Dom, when he said so to a fan on Zoom. The song was later released on the sophomore album “weird!” on December 4th, 2020.

It’s like, ‘I’m going to be my cross-dressing, lipstick-wearing self, even if it fucking kills you.’ I’m not literally talking about marrying my cousin, obviously. But we may as well all be cousins, because we’ve been here in the same fucking village for the past 100 years.
