“Anybody” is the first single of 2018 by Atlanta artist Young Thug, with his first collaboration with Nicki Minaj since 2014’s “Danny Glover” remix.
The song was leaked two days ahead of its expected release on April 13, 2018, and it came as somewhat of a surprise to fans considering that Thugger previously said he wouldn’t be releasing any music in 2018.
On April 10, both artists hinted at the song’s release after they both tweeted the number “3”. Thug’s go-to engineer, Alex Tumay, also joined in, further adding to the speculation.

“Anybody” was certified gold by the RIAA on July 31, 2019.
Thugger and Nicki both wrote their respective parts of the song. Young Thug clearly recorded his parts first, as the song was produced by people who worked with him heavily on Beautiful Thugger Girls, which this song was originally intended to land on, but they had never worked with Nicki. After rumors started circulating that Young Thug wrote Nicki’s verse because of how similar the melodies were, Thugger decided to clarify on Twitter that Nicki wrote every word she sang.
