Saweetie’s “My Type” is the Bay Area rapper’s biggest hit to date, sitting at a peak position of No. 33 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week. To give the song a further boost, Saweetie recruited Jhené Aiko and City Girls‘ Yung Miami for a new remix.
On the first verse, Aiko delivers explicit bars about mixing sex with her trademark spirituality:

The song retains one of Saweetie’s two original verses, before Yung Miami comes in to spit a closing verse:

“My Type” is based around a prominent sample of Petey Pablo’s 2003 hit, “Freek-A-Leek.” It’s produced by London on da Track, and has already racked up over 40 million streams on Spotify. The original version appears on her 2019 EP, ICY.
