Ariana Grande Reunites With Social House On Her New Single “Boyfriend”

Both acts have previously linked up on “thank u, next,” “7 rings,” and “MONOPOLY.”

Ariana Grande just linked up with frequent collaborator Social House for her latest song, “Boyfriend.”

The Pittsburgh pop duo has an extensive work relationship with Grande. They’ve been an opening act alongside Normani on her Sweetener Tour. Plus, they have producing credits on a slew of her tracks, including “thank u, next,” “7 rings,” and “MONOPOLY.”

Previous collaborators Mr. Franks and TBHits also have production credits on “Boyfriend.”

Grande teased snippets of the lyrics across multiple social media posts. A tweet included the line, “u ain’t my boyfriend."

Then she followed that up with an Instagram post that read, “but u don’t want me to see nobody else … n i don’t want u to see nobody.”

Last month, Grande opened up about her past music in her cover story for Vogue. “There was a two-album period where I was doing half the songs for me and half the songs to solidify my spot in pop music,” she said. “A lot of my singles have been hilariously lacking in substance. You’re talking to someone who put ‘Side to Side’ out as a single. I love that song, but it’s just a fun song about sex.”

Most recently, Social House has linked up with K-pop boy band NCT 127 on a few songs, including “Highway to Heaven.” In June 2018, they released “Magic in the Hamptons,” featuring Lil Yachty.
