The group’s latest album, ‘GINGER,’ drops soon.

We’re inching closer to the release of BROCKHAMPTON’s new album, GINGER—set to drop before the end of August—and the boyband just released the project’s second single, “IF YOU PRAY RIGHT.” The song is produced by group members Romil Hemnani and Jabari Manwa.

On the track, Dom McLennon mixes religious imagery:

Hallelujah (Hey), holy lion, word to Judas (Hey)
How I’m supposed to (Hey), trust what you say is the truest? (Right)
Haile Selassie (Uh), insha'Allah if I gotta (Woo)
Spin my words around as if you wanted a mandala, for Nirvana
Singin' a sonata towards our karma
Did a rain dance, bringin' commas from Tacoma to Oaxaca

Meanwhile, Kevin Abstract delivers a contemplative outro:

I’m tired of making a fool out of me and you
Is there anything that I can do that’ll save us, baby?
Is there anybody lovin' lies and robbin' shotties, .45’s?
I’m still alive, and no drunk drivin', that’s how they killed my brother

There’s still no exact release date for GINGER, but the project will supposedly drop before August is over. Earlier this year, Kevin Abstract opened up to GQ about recording and releasing his solo album, ARIZONA BABY, to give the group a creative break after iridescence. They’ve since been back in the studio together, where Abstract said they’re focused on making “a summer album. Feel-good. Not too sad and like, ‘Oh, our life sucks,’ just more like, ‘Just enjoy what’s in front of you.‘”
