BROCKHAMPTON Previews Its New Album ‘GINGER’ With “I Been Born Again”

It’s the group’s first new release since ‘iridescence.’

Boyband collective BROCKHAMPTON is set to drop its new album, GINGER, by the end of August, and today the group debuted its first single of 2019, “I Been Born Again.” The song is BROCKHAMPTON’s first release as a group since they dropped iridescence last year.

The accompanying music is directed by Spencer Ford, who previously collaborated with BROCKHAMPTON on the music video for the iridescence track, “J'OUVERT.”

Earlier this year, Kevin Abstract opened up to GQ about recording and releasing his solo album, ARIZONA BABY, to give the group a creative break after iridescence. They’ve since been back in the studio together, where Abstract said they’re focused on making “a summer album. Feel-good. Not too sad and like, ‘Oh, our life sucks,’ just more like, ‘Just enjoy what’s in front of you.‘”
