The global superstar co-wrote the song with RM, ADORA, and Hiss Noise.

BTS’s V just dropped a surprise solo track, “Winter Bear.”

His self-composed track also includes writing credits from BTS leader RM as well as Big Hit Entertainment producers ADORA and Hiss Noise. Naturally, the song trended worldwide on Twitter following the release.

V also has songwriting credits on other BTS tracks, including “RUN,” “Hold Me Tight,” and “STIGMA.” This is the singer’s second self-composed solo track this year, following the January release of “Scenery.”

“Winter Bear” functions like a lullaby, lulling the listener to sleep with soothing lyrics:

She looks like a blue parrot
Would you come fly to me?
I want some good day, good day, good day
Good day, good day
Looks like a winter bear
You sleep so happily
I wish you good night, good night, good night
Good night, good night

The song art is credited to “Vante,” which is V’s photography nickname–a play on his stage name combined with Australian photographer Ante Badzim.

In a followup tweet, V wrote that “Winter Bear” was his first time writing lyrics in English, according to a fan translation.

During a live stream on VLIVE in June, the Korean musician estimated that he had recently composed around three or four songs.
