Denzel Curry’s Cover Of Rage Against The Machine’s “Bulls On Parade” Mixes In His “SIRENS” Verse

He previously praised the band for calling out police violence.

Denzel Curry linked up with Australian music outlet triple j for its Like A Version cover series. The Florida rapper decided to take on “Bulls On Parade,” the famous 1996 single by Rage Against the Machine, and make the track his own. His cover stays true to the original while adding the third verse from “SIRENS | Z1RENZ,” his 2018 TA13OO track featuring JID and Billie Eilish.

Curry’s lyrics fit right in on Rage’s famous protest song, as he raps about a broken political system:

President in abundance
President is a puppet
Gotta hate it, gotta love it
Pass a class, I rise above it
Wise enough, advise the public
Pistol bust, screamin' “fuck it”
Donald Trump, Donald Duck
What the fuck is the difference?

“Bulls On Parade” served as the second single from Rage Against the Machine’s 1996 album, Evil Empire. The song helped Evil Empire go 3x Platinum, and remains one of the group’s most popular songs.

Curry praised Rage’s legacy in a 2018 interview with Billboard, pointing to “Killing In the Name” as an example of artists calling out problems with the criminal justice system.
