DJ Snake Recruits Cardi B, Ozuna, & Selena Gomez For “Taki Taki”

“I wanted to make a reggaeton club-like hit.”

French DJ and producer DJ Snake is aiming squarely at the Latin market with his new single “Taki Taki.” The track boasts features from Cardi B, Ozuna, and Selena Gomez, singing in a mixture of English and Spanish. Cardi and Ozuna previously collaborated on “La Modelo” last year, but otherwise none of the artists on the track have worked together before.

“I wanted to make a reggaeton club-like hit,” DJ Snake told Billboard. “So I sent it to Ozuna, and he crushed it. But I want to have more females in the record, Spanish speaking females, so I’ve found two queens, Cardi and Selena. This is what I always wanted to do, they blessed me with this greatness and dope energy. It’s just a great combo.”

Ozuna kicks off the track, singing about a wild night in the club:

Quiere un besito o un ñaqui
Booty explota como Nagasaki
Prende los motores Kawasaki
Que la disco está llena
Y llegaron los Anunnakis

Meanwhile, Cardi spits about getting treated to a Lamborghini, seemingly a reference to her husband Offset purchasing her a blue Aventador back in July:

He said he really wanna see me more
I said we should have a date, where? At the Lamborghini store
“I’m kinda scary, hard to read, I’m like a Ouija board”
“But I’m a boss bitch, who you gonna leave me for?”

“It’s very a Spanish vibe. As soon as I heard it, I was like, ‘I wanna get on it,” Cardi B told Billboard. “It’s gonna be a really good hit. International hit.” If the song does take off, it would be DJ Snake’s first charting hit on the Billboard Hot 100 since 2016, when he landed his Justin Bieber collaboration “Let Me Love You” at No. 4.
