There’s some interesting additions and omissions here.

With Drake’s much-loved Take Care turning six today, the OVO rapper shared a throwback memory on his Instagram. The picture, taken by Noah “40” Shebib, shows Drizzy looking down on a pad of paper that contains an early draft tracklist of Take Care, and it includes some interesting bits of information about how the project came together.

The tracklist appears as follows:

  1. “Over My Dead Body”
  2. “Shot for Me”
  3. “Headlines”
  4. “Crew Love”
  5. “Take Care”
  6. “Marvin’s Room”
  7. “Under Ground Kings”
  8. “We’ll Be Fine”
  9. “Lord Knows”
  10. “You Beat”
  11. “Cameras”
  12. “Hate Sleeping Alone”
  13. “Night” or “Miami” or “NIEM ?”
  14. “Look What You’ve Done”
  15. “Crew ?”
  16. “Practice”
  17. “The Ride”

While the first six songs appear in exactly the same sequence on the final album, there are other notable changes. Missing are songs like “Make Me Proud” featuring Nicki Minaj, “Buried Alive (Interlude)” featuring Kendrick Lamar, “The Real Her,” and “HYFR” and “The Motto” featuring Lil Wayne. Meanwhile, “Hate Sleeping Alone” appears much earlier in the tracklist than its eventual spot as the last song on the album. The tracklist doesn’t include any listed features, although all of Drake’s songs with The Weeknd are on it.

Most notably, the tracklist contains a few songs that (while difficult to read due to the quality of the picture) don’t appear to have made the final cut at all. Track No. 10, which appears to say “You Beat,” isn’t on the album, nor is track No. 13, which is all but illegible. One possible interpretation is that it says “Miami,” which could possibly relate to the Nothing Was the Same track “305 to My City,” a love song for Florida’s cultural capital. Lyric searches for variations of both potential song titles on the Take Care tracks that aren’t included on this list don’t return any meaningful results. The 15th song seems to say “Crew ?,” which could possibly indicate that Drake was considering putting “Crew Love” towards the end of the album instead.

Since its release, Take Care has gone four-times Platinum and spawned Billboard Hot 100 hits like “Take Care” (No 7), “Make Me Proud” (No. 9), and “Headlines” (No. 13).
