Dreamville’s Bas Says J. Cole Is Dropping ‘The Off Season’ In Two Weeks

He hasn’t dropped a solo project since 2018's ‘KOD.’

J. Cole has been hinting at the release of a series of new projects for over two years, and now it looks like fans are just weeks away from finally hearing one of them. Dreamville rapper Bas shared a photo of Cole on his Instagram with a caption claiming the North Carolina MC is set to drop The Off Season in two weeks time.

The Instagram account of Cole’s alter ego kiLL edward also shared a story announcing that The Off Season was finished, providing further evidence that the project could drop soon. It’s worth noting, however, that an announcement about new music from his Kill Edward account last year ended up not producing anything.

The Off Season is expected to be a mixtape or EP before Cole drops his next studio album, The Fall Off. In July of last year, Cole dropped “The Climb Back” and “Lion King On Ice” as the first two singles from The Fall Off. There’s currently no word about what songs will appear on The Off Season, but it seems we won’t have to wait too much longer to find out.
