Kodak Black remains behind bars over claims that he lied about his criminal history in order to obtain a firearm, but he continues to stoke controversy. In a freestyle he spit over the phone from jail, Kodak raps about wanting to punch City Girls rapper Yung Miami in the stomach because of her pregnancy:

And I bought Yung Miami a ring, she wanted 808’s baby
When I see her I'mma hit that bitch in her stomach
The way I keep this shit too real fuckin' up my money

Yung Miami revealed last month that she is expecting a child with her boyfriend Southside. The producer responded to Kodak in an Instagram story. “Somebody tell Kodak suck a dick. How about that? Nigga get up out of jail first, pussy,” he said.

Although Kodak and Yung Miami have never been on a song together before, she previously appeared in his “Christmas in Miami” video last year:

Kodak’s comments about Yung Miami are just the latest in a long line of controversial lyrics and personal actions. The rapper is still waiting to face trial in a 2016 rape case in Florence, South Carolina. He walked out of an interview with Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning after being asked about the charges.

He caused controversy earlier this year for rapping about wanting to have sex with Brooklyn rapper Young M.A., who is a lesbian. The Florida rapper was also banned from some hip-hop radio stations in Los Angeles in early 2019 after making inappropriate comments about Lauren London, the late Nipsey Hussle’s longtime girlfriend.

The Florida MC’s last album, Dying to Live, dropped last year. While his music remains popular, Kodak’s career continues to be overshadowed by his still-unresolved rape case and incendiary personal conduct and public comments.
