Kanye West & Bon Iver Join Francis And The Lights On “Take Me To The Light”

It’s slated to be the title track from Francis and the Lights’ upcoming album.

On a new single titled “Take Me to the Light,” Kanye West joins his frequent collaborators Bon Iver and Francis and the Lights. Numerous songwriters are credited on the track, including benny blanco, Cashmere Cat, Caroline Shaw, frequent Kanye collaborators Jeff Bhasker and Noah Goldstein, and BJ Burton, best known for working with Francis and the Lights and Bon Iver.

Kanye handles the chorus on the track:

And you still take me to light (every time)
You still take me to light (every time)
And the stars will align (every time)
You ain’t lying
You ain’t lying
You ain’t lying
You gon' take me to the light (every time)
Every time, every time

The collaboration isn’t the first song that the trio has appeared on together. In 2016, Francis and the Lights recruited Kanye and Bon Iver on “Friends.”

During the days leading up to the track’s release, Francis and the Lights shared hints about “Take Me to the Light” on social media:

In a post shared on the group’s official website, Francis and the Lights revealed that “Take Me to the Light” is the title track to their next album. The band last released Just for Us in 2017, and has since appeared on Kanye’s ye and Chance the Rapper’s The Big Day.

Meanwhile, Bon Iver dropped a new album titled i,i just last month. Kanye is currently preparing to release Jesus is King, a seemingly gospel-inspired project that Kim Kardashian announced last week.
