Kendrick Lamar & SZA Team Up For Their Stunning “All The Stars” Video

The ‘Black Panther’ single is still heating up the Hot 100 chart.

With the full Black Panther soundtrack set to drop on Friday, Feb. 9, SZA and Kendrick Lamar team up in their new video for its lead single “All the Stars.” The Al Shux and Sounwave-produced track’s video is directed by Dave Meyers and The Little Homies (a.k.a. Kendrick and TDE’s Co-President Dave Free). The clip features awe-striking visuals that include galaxies, forests, and scenes inspired by cultures throughout the African continent (as OkayAfrica points out).

Notably, the song features SZA’s verse from the original version of the track, which was first released on January 4. The song was recently changed on Apple Music to include new SZA lyrics, leading some to believe that the song would be updated across all platforms when the full soundtrack dropped. However, they opted to include the original lyrics in the official video.

During the chorus, SZA is seen amongst a galaxy of stars while singing:

This may be the night that my dreams might let me know
All the stars are closer, all the stars are closer, all the stars are closer

“All the Stars” peaked at No. 43 on the Hot 100 chart earlier this year. It’s set to appear on the official Black Panther soundtrack, which drops on Friday, Feb. 9. The soundtrack will also include contributions from Vince Staples, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, ScHoolboy Q, Travis Scott, The Weeknd, Swae Lee, Khalid, 2 Chainz, and more. Kendrick curated the full soundtrack alongside Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith and the Black Panther director Ryan Coogler.
