Less than two years after the release of her seventh solo album, P!nk is gearing up to drop her next project this week. Today, she linked up with Khalid for the project’s title track, “Hurts 2B Human”. With pop producer Jorgen Odegard on board, the song finds P!nk and Khalid singing about the pains of everyday life.
P!nk sings about feeling fed up with life and finding refuge in a relationship:
Will you make it sound so pretty even when it’s not?
Didn’t choose but it’s the only one we’ve got
And sometimes I get so tired
Of getting tired up my thoughts
You’re the only one that often makes it stop
Meanwhile, Khalid offers some words of encouragement:
I could buckle and prepare before the crush
Like I’m walking down a road of broken glass
Now if we defeat all odds
And it was us against the world
You could count on me
You know I’d have your back
Hurts 2B Human drops on Friday, April 26. P!nk’s last album, Beautiful Trauma, came out in late 2017.
