Hot 97's Peter Rosenberg Claims Drake Has A Writing Credit On Kanye West’s “Yikes”

“It is now a confirmed thing Drake wrote the hook for ‘Yikes.’”

Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning has been making some bold statements when it comes to Kanye West and Drake’s recent working together. Just last week, Ebro Darden claimed that Kanye was supposed to be featured on Drizzy’s “Nice For What.” On Monday, Peter Rosenberg added to the speculation by saying the OVO rapper wrote the hook for “Yikes,” the second song on Kanye’s new album ye.

Rosenberg revealed the info while praising “Yikes,” which Kanye produced alongside Apex Martin and frequent collaborator Mike Dean. “It is now a confirmed thing that Drake wrote the hook for ‘Yikes,’” Rosenberg began. “It may be the best melody on the album like you’ll hear it now and go, ‘Oh that sounds really good.’”

He went on to say that Drake didn’t get proper credit for his alleged contribution. “They didn’t credit [Drake]. They said they, like, ‘forgot.’ They left him off. He doesn’t have a writing credit. Interesting timing, right, to forget the writing credit for Drake,” said Rosenberg. It should be noted that Kanye hasn’t released the full album credits, and most of the collaborators currently remain unconfirmed.

Rumors circulated back in March that Drake had flown out to Wyoming to join Kanye at his creative retreat and make contributions to his latest album. Since then, the Toronto native has engaged in a heated feud with Pusha-T, where he even took aim at Yeezy on “Duppy Freestyle.” Drake insinuated that he ghostwrote “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1” and “30 Hours” from Ye’s 2016 The Life of Pablo.

King Push reignited the beef by name-dropping Drake’s alleged ghostwriter, Quentin Miller, on the DAYTONA cut “Infrared.”

The Chicago-bred rapper attempted to squash the beef on Twitter over the weekend:
