Here Are The 2018 Oscar Nominees For Best Original Song & Best Original Score

‘The Greatest Showman,’ ’Coco,’ & ‘Mudbound’ earned nominations.

After months of campaigning, the 2018 Oscar nominations were officially announced this morning. Songs performed by Mary J. Blige, Sufjan Stevens, Miguel, Andra Day, and Keala Settle earned nominations in the Original Song category, while Dunkirk, Phantom Thread, The Shape of Water, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri are the finalists in the Original Score category. Mary J. Blige also picked up a nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her work in Mudbound, becoming the first person ever to earn nominations for a performance and song in the same year for the same film.

“This is Me” appears in The Greatest Showman, a movie musical about the origins of P.T. Barnum written and composed by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. The pair has experienced recent success with the music for the Oscar-winning film La La Land as well as the hit Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen.
