Last year, the LA singer-songwriter worked with Summer Walker on both “Triggered (Remix)” and “I’ll Kill You.” She also worked with Big Sean on “None of Your Concern.”

While we wait for Aiko’s next album, Genius rounded up everything we know about Chilombo ahead of its release.

The title Chilombo is her last name; her full name is Jhené Aiko Efuru Chilombo. In an Instagram story, Aiko offered her interpretation of the name, as Genius user @convikted points out:

[Chi] is life force.

[L] is for Love. Love is Living On Valued Energy. Taking care of the future by being fully present in. this. moment.

[Om] is the sound of the universe. The solution is sound.

[B] represents the leg and the foot… foundation. B is for base; basics, beginnings

[O] is eternity, infinite, wholeness… totality, perfection

Aiko promoted “PU$$Y Fairy (OTW)” on Instagram with the caption, “that 🍆 make me so proud 🙏🏼 #PussyFairy 🐱🧚🏼‍♂️ (link in bio) #CHILOMBO 🌋.” Meanwhile, her collaborator and on-and-off boyfriend Big Sean commented on the post: “U neva lied 💙👅,” as Genius user @tcmsherry points out.

The Songs

While the tracklist remains unconfirmed, “PU$$Y Fairy (OTW)” is expected to appear on the album. She released a visual in the style of VH1’s Pop-Up Video, where she teased Chilombo at the tail end.

On February 28, she shared the Miguel and Future-assisted cut, “Happiness Over Everything (H.O.E.).” The track borrows from the similarly titled “Hoe” off her 2011 mixtape, Sailing Soul(s).
