Legendary rapper Ice Cube brings his signature brand of socio-political rap back today with the release of his new song, “Arrest the President.” The song serves as a single for Cube’s long-delayed 10th album, Everythang’s Corrupt, and features production by ShawnSki. On the track, Ice Cube alludes to the current FBI investigation against President Trump’s campaign for alleged collusion with Russia during the 2016 presidential election.
The song finds Ice Cube making an appeal to special counsel Robert Mueller and the FBI, imploring them to put Trump in prison:
Arrest the president, you got the evidence
That nigga is Russian intelligence
When it rains it pours
Did you know the new white was orange?
Boy, you’re showing your horns
He also fantasizes about kicking Trump and his political allies out of the White House:

Ice Cube is synonymous with socio-political hip-hop. As part of N.W.A, Cube rose to fame with songs like “Fuck Tha Police,” while early solo albums like AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted and Death Certificate cemented his notoriety for tackling issues like systemic racism, poverty, and institutional corruption in American society.
Everythang’s Corrupt was supposed to be released in 2015, but ended up being delayed without explanation. Now, it seems the project will finally see the light of day on December 7, complete with some pointed criticism for President Trump and his political allies.
