He dropped more hints about “The Fall Off,” too.

It’s been less than a week since J. Cole’s fifth album KOD dropped, but the North Carolina rapper is already readying more music. While answering a series of fan questions on Twitter, Cole revealed that a deluxe edition of the project is on the way, featuring the album in its original format plus some extra songs:

Cole originally recorded KOD in just two weeks, but decided to revisit a few of the songs to perfect them. It sounds like fans will be getting alternate versions of those songs on the upcoming release, plus new material. It’s set to be the first deluxe edition of an album that Cole has released since Born Sinner in 2013.

The Dreamville boss also revealed his favorite lyrics on KOD, which come from “BRACKETS”:

One thing about the men that’s controlling the pen
That write history, they always seem to white-out they sins

He said that “ATM” and “1985 (Intro to "The Fall Off”)" were the hardest songs to finish, while his recording session in Zanzibar, Tanzania was his best memory of creating the album:

Cole gave more hints about “The Fall Off,” too, referencing the title that’s included as part of KOD’s final song “1985.” However, it’s still not clear if it’s a song, an album, or something else entirely:

He also hinted at a full album from his alter ego kiLL edward:

KOD is projected to move over 300,000 copies in its first week, and will likely land several songs on the Hot 100 chart.
