Fans are eagerly awaiting his next album, ‘The Fall Off.’

J. Cole spent this year dropping a handful of singles and hinting at an upcoming project without giving away too much about his release plans. Now, he’s once again teasing the prospect of new music before the end of 2020 via kiLL edward. The rapper’s alter ego shared a pair of Instagram stories this week promising to drop new material before the year wraps up:

Back in July, Cole dropped “The Climb Back” and “Lion King On Ice” as the first two singles from his long-awaited album, The Fall Off. He’s been teasing that project since the release of KOD in 2018, the same album where he first introduced kiLL edward. The fact that he’s once again using the kiLL edward alter ego to promote new music may indicate that The Fall Off is on the way.

However, Cole has teased several other projects over the past few years, including a mixtape or EP titled The Off Season and a full solo project from kiLL edward. It’s possible that he could be planning to drop any or all of these before the year is up.

Cole’s last solo album was 2018’s KOD, although he’s been very active in the years since thanks to his work on Dreamville’s Revenge of the Dreamers III and a stellar run of guest features.
