It’s the second single off Harlow’s sophomore LP.

Jack Harlow is feeling pretty good. His 2020 debut album went Top 5 on the Billboard 200, and the following year, he earned a No. 1 pop single by teaming up with Lil Nas X for “Industry Baby.” Now, Harlow is prepping what promises to be his breakthrough sophomore album, and the project’s just-released second single, “First Class,” finds the Louisville rapper already celebrating his Ws. The song went straight to No. 1 on the Genius Top Songs chart.

Produced by Angel “BabeTruth” Lopez, Charlie Handsome, Jasper Harris, Nickie Jon Pabón, and Rogét Chahayed, “First Class” interpolates the 2007 Fergie hit “Glamorous” in the chorus, which opens the song. Whereas Fergie merely spells out the titular word, Harlow makes an acronym with the first four letters.

I been a (G), throw up the (L), sex in the (A.M.), uh-huh
(O-R-O-U-S, yeah)
And I can put you in (First class, up in the sky)

In the first verse, Harlow reflects on how much his life has changed over the last few years.

I can see the whole city from this balcony
Back in 2019, I was outside freely, but now they got it out for me

Although he’s getting to be a big deal, Harlow still doesn’t feel like he gets the respect he deserves. Don’t people realize he’s got three gold and four platinum plaques? His overburdened local mail carriers do.

You don’t need Givenchy, you need Jesus
Why do y’all sleep on me? I need reasons
Uh, I got plaques in the mail, peak season
Shout out to my UPS workers makin’ sure I receive ’em

But Harlow isn’t the only one enjoying the spoils of his success. In the second verse, he vows to keep his mother in sweet digs.

This lifestyle don’t got many downsides
’Cept for the lack of time I get ’round my
Family, makin’ sure they never downsize
I got visions of my mom sayin’, “Wait, this house mine?”

Harlow’s sophomore album, Come Home the Kids Miss You, is due May 6. In the meantime, you can check out all the lyrics to “First Class” on Genius now.
